Line 2

Line 2 is the energy of naturalness: the part of a pattern that often works best before it over-explains itself. In traditional Human Design, this line is often linked with innate gift, retreat, and being called out; another way to hold it is as a relationship with unforced capacity. When Line 2 is active in a chart, the invitation is not to hide forever or perform on demand, but to honor the rhythm of solitude and response. The shadow is withdrawing so no one can ask anything of you; the gift is a simple, almost effortless ability that becomes useful when called into loving service.
