Bill Walton was an American Hall of Fame center who led the Portland Trail Blazers to their first NBA title and won the league MVP in 1978. Injuries shortened his peak, but he later won Sixth Man of the Year and helped the Boston Celtics win the 1986 championship. After retiring, he became a well-known basketball broadcaster.
