North Node
In Human Design, the Lunar Nodes divide life into two basic dynamics: a South Node phase and a North Node phase. The Nodes are positions (not planets) and are essential for understanding life direction and environment.
The North Node phase sets the stage for the mature way of experiencing life after the Uranus Opposition (about ages 38–43). The Personality North Node shows the perspectives that develop in the second half of life; the Design North Node delineates how you experience and relate to your environment during this mature phase.
Node transits are slow and contextual: they shift the “background geometry” of your life. When the North Node themes become active in your life, it can feel like the environment finally fits, and your experiences start integrating into a coherent arc.
In practice, the North Node is less about chasing a goal and more about noticing the right stage for your correctness to unfold.
Personality North Node themes can show up as a conscious shift in worldview later in life. Design North Node themes are often experienced through place, community, and how your environment supports you.
