Gate 22 carries the energy of emotional openness—your inner spirit gets broadcast as a mood. When the wave is high, it can feel effortless to be charming, receptive, and socially graceful; when the wave is low, it's healthier to be selective and let yourself be quiet.

This gate is designed to honor timing. If something matters, you may need to hear it more than once and in different moods before you have the whole picture. With Gate 12 it becomes voiced expression (the Channel of Openness); without that connection, you can still feel deeply, but words may not arrive on demand.
