Root Center

Adrenaline pressure and drive
Summary

The Root is one of two pressure centers (along with the Head) and it is also a motor. It generates the pressure to move, start, and adapt—often experienced as stress or drive.

Root pressure is healthy when it's used as momentum and timing. It becomes unhealthy when you believe you must relieve pressure immediately. The Root's wisdom is pacing: allowing pressure to build and release naturally instead of rushing your life.

Defined Theme

With a defined Root, you handle pressure in a relatively consistent way. You may have a steadier relationship with stress and can use it to create momentum and persistence.

The shadow is pushing constantly. Consistent drive can become compulsive productivity if not balanced with rest and correct timing.

Undefined Theme

With an undefined Root, stress and pressure are inconsistent, and you can amplify the pressure of people and environments around you.

The trap is rushing—trying to get everything done to be 'free' of pressure, which often creates more stress rather than less.
