G Center
The Identity Center (often called the G Center) is the core compass of the BodyGraph. It relates to identity, love, and direction—how life moves you through experiences that shape your sense of self.
This center is deeply environmental. Your sense of direction and love can change dramatically depending on the people and places you're in. Human Design emphasizes that "correct place" matters: when your environment is right, your direction tends to reveal itself.
With a defined G Center, your sense of identity and direction is relatively stable. You carry a consistent 'signature' of self that others can feel, and direction often emerges from within.
The shadow is becoming fixed in an identity story. Stability can become stubbornness if you resist life's natural course-corrections.
With an undefined G Center, identity and direction are fluid. You sample different ways of being, and you can be deeply wise about love and direction because you've experienced many expressions.
The trap is searching externally for love, identity, or direction—trying to become someone to be loved or trying to force a destination instead of letting the right environment guide you.
